I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Management ‘Marco Fanno’ at the University of Padova, where I teach Strategy and Green Supply Chain Management.
I achieved my PhD. in the same University in 2011, where I also served as senior PostDoc. I have been visiting at the Center on Globalization, Governance and Competitiveness (Duke University) and at the Department of Innovation and Organisational Economics (Copenhagen Business School).
I am interested in the study of environmental innovations and sustainability – focusing especially on their peculiarities with respect to other innovations in the way they are conceived and realised – and of the evolution of Italian industrial districts (IDs) within global value chains – with an industry focus on the gold jewellery and a geographical focus on the Veneto region. My research has been published in journals such as Research Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Business Strategy & the Environment, Journal of Knowledge Management, European Planning Studies, Competition & Change.
I am actively engaging in academic life. I act as reviewer for several international journals and I am part of the editorial board of the book series Sustainability and Innovation (Springer) and of the journal Economia e Società Regionale (Franco Angeli); I co-organized panel sessions at SASE, IAERE and IFKAD conferences and co-organized the 2015 IAERE conference. I also engage with local stakeholders. I contributed to the European projects Clustrat and ClusterPoliSEE, founded by the Veneto Region (Innovation and research department) and lead several research projects founded by IRES Veneto.
